This will be for the roof view photos for the Horosovic Family's roof.
Adjuster initially allowed for just a 3 foot removal and replacement of the front slope of the house roof due to Ice Damming leaks in the winter.
We discussed this on Wednesday, 4-8-09 and I informed him that the existing shingles were too brittle to do a proper repair of the 3 feet only.
Also, due to the Village code requirements, 2 full 3 foot rows of Ice and Water Shield would be required.
He agreed to needing the front of the roof only to now be needing replacement, but prior to stating that, he said in a very frustrated manner, "Now, are you going to be going for the full roof, including the rear due to the matching shingle color issue?" I stated that to do otherwise would lessen the home owners visual evaluation of the home, He stated that it is not in the insurance policy to provide for matching replacement on unaffected slopes. I disagree and feel that it just may be their version of loss limiting the claim.

The job went very well, except the home owner did not follow the advice given and file a supplement on his claim, so therefor, he did not receive any additional funds that he otherwise would have been entitled to.
Why don't they listen?
